MyLab Math access [updated instructions are similar; email me if you have any trouble!]
Nearly all of our homework will be managed there, together with
access to our e-textbook
Edwards, Penny, Calvis:
Differential Equations and Linear Algebra with MyLab Math.
Upon
registration, you get immediate access to the Pearson portal but have two weeks to pay for access after joining
the class.
[If you opt out of the textbook cost tuition program, the cheapest purchase option is
to buy
direct from the publisher,
but with a 33 percent markup to $98.00 from the
university bookstore (certain students with financial aid must purchase
their textbooks from the bookstore).]
The due date for all homework is set to midnight of the class day they are meant to be completed by, but students may continue to submit answers without penalty after the official due date to allow everyone to get 100 percent credit with persistence (getting too far behind can make it difficult to catch up at the end of the semester and defeats the purpose of helping understand the content as we proceed). I will help anyone get the correct answer on any particular problem.
For the first set of numbers in the problem you get any number of tries to enter a correct answer. You can ask for a "similar problem" to start again, redoing the new almost same problem. Use the Ask My Instructor tool plus email if necessary to get help from bob on a specfic problem. Send a photo or Maple worksheet by email if your work needs troubleshooting. Often a formatting error is responsible for an incorrect response.
