This large install file downloads quicker if you are on campus. You need to copy the Activation code (scroll down this page first before entering the Mac or PC download page), but this code is also explicitly in the following detailed instruction page. There is also a free phone app: Maple Calculator that can be used in a pinch, but the laptop software Maple is much more userfriendly and powerful! You can actually scan a handwritten expression with your cell phone in the app and it will load it and evaluate it on your laptop!
