780x130 you could trim the left side of the image before repeating to make it fit the757x130pixel image space but...

too bad, it looses something in the smaller size when tiled... but it sure is spectacular full size. in fact, after some thinking, this is not bad as a tiling either.
Let's go with it as our first draft. We can always change it later.

Umbilic Torus POVed

Inspired by the cover of Calculus 5th Edition by Larson, Hostetler and Edwards, Houghton Mifflin 1995? (continued through successive editions) which in turn is a mathematical representation of the bronze sculpture Umbilic Torus NC by artist Helaman Ferguson (about 27 inches high). Created in Maple by bob jantzen in 1997 with the help of Klaus Volpert whose enthusiasm for the image started this chain of events and sent to Christpher Alan Arthur for an elegant raytracing POV application in June 2004 [check out Chris's website].
