dr bob test/quiz archive [practice tests, not!]

These Adobe Acrobat .pdf files may be viewed onscreen or printed with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, which should automatically be called up on campus when you click on these links. The MAPLE worksheets are rather long to print. [They must be saved locally and opened with MAPLE if using Citrixweb Maple or Netscape, while Internet Explorer should open them automatically upon clicking on the link if MAPLE is already open over a local network or on your PC.] The quality selected for the .pdf file scanning is black and white raster, which is not always great but saves server space.

Don't mistakenly refer to these as "practice tests" when talking with bob since he will probably launch into a lecture that is a waste of your time. (No he has given up.) They are old archived tests from previous semesters, not practice tests, although they may be used for practice.

The scanned PDFs require Adobe Acrobat Reader  to view. [Download Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.

Maple answer keys are done with Standard Maple Document Mode worksheets .mw, and require Standard Maple to view correctly.

(links do not work until files are "published"!)

answer key

The answer keys provided are like the Cliff Notes version of the documentation of each problem solution, made as concise as possible in order to minimize the number of physical pages or scanned pages needed to make them available. Your presentation should be unconstrained by this requirement, with each part of each problem clearly separated from any other part, and with as much of a horizontal top to bottom progression of the individual steps as possible. The better organized you are in your presentation, the more confident you can be about what you are doing, and the more convincing you can be to your audience (the instructor, other students, eventually your coworkers, employers or clients). [See test rules.]

Each physical page is scanned into Adobe Acrobat .pdf files choosing a black and white resolution leading to about 25K per page to save disk space, rather than having better quality at a high space cost.
